Caoba The National Tree, the West Indian Mahogany (Swietenia mahagoni), family: Meliaceae (Mahogany Family).

The Caoba Flower, "Flor de Caoba", was official declared as the Nacional Flower on July 16, 1957, by decree 2944, issued by the Trujillo government.
Cayena (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis), family: Malvaceae (Mallow Family), popularly called "Sangre Cristo", blood of Christ, known colloquially as the Chinese hibiscus.
