Caribe Tours The station in the capital of the modern bus company Caribe Tours (www.caribetours.com.do). The busses have airconditioning, drive punctually and stop only at some arranged stops. Guagua Azua These are interlocal busses ("guaguas") who leave every 15 minutes, here arriving from the capital in Azua. You can find them in every city and they are cheaper than Caribe Tours or Metro, and stop everywhere when someone wants to go in or out. local bus 2 Another local bus. The man at the door ("cobrador") is calling where they are going and you have to pay him. Behind it a public car (see the next picture). yamaha of-the-road The yamaha of-the-road is also a customary mean of transport. (2002) the scooter The last years the scooter became very popular, but they aren't used like a motor-taxi. Sometimes they strip them to the bone! (2002)
